Autogenic Training
Autogenic Training (AT) is a powerful mind and body technique involving simple relaxation and body awareness exercises. They reduce the intensity of the body's stess response and replace it with a calmer state in which self healing can take place.
About the course
AT is taught over eight to ten weeks, in one-hourly sessions if working as an individual or longer sessions when learning in a small group (four to six people), and is based around a series of six simple mental exercises focusing on various body systems.
Each week you learn a new AT exercise, which builds on the previous week's practice as well as some off-loading exercises which will help you release both current and previously suppressed emotions. The AT exercises are then practiced two to three times a day for a few minutes at a time.
Sessions
Assesment: your health history and immediate problems - to be arranged individually before the Group Course starts.
8 weekly sessions from 10:00 - 11:30 on Saturdays.
Next Course
Assessment: to be arranged before 4th September.
8 weekly sessions: Saturday 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th September, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd October follow up session: 27th November.
